That guy is glowing violet because he just grabbed the Awakening, which gives you the health for the damage you do (vampirism). I just fired a blue bolt from the shock gun and froze him in his tracks for a couple seconds.
That guy up there is trying to guide his rocket at me. At the same time I fired a shock bolt at him. Looks like we both missed. ;-)
