New Runes & Concept Art

Here are a few concept art pictures and shots that our talented skinner Whiplash sent me earlier. These shots show the new look for the autodoc (1/2). As well as a shot of the new orbiters that will be going around all of the techs, this shot, however, shows the orbiter for the autodoc. Each orbitor will be a different color corresponding to the tech it is orbiting (ie: purple for amp, red for doc, yellow for haste, etc). Thanks to Hb0mb and Whiplash for these pics. Yes, these techs will be included in the 1.1 release. And no, Ark is not back from his (which seems like forever) vacation. Expect more details on the 1.1 release when Ark gets back. For now however, we have these to show ya.

Master Server for CCTF down

We are extremely sorry about this, but the master server list that Ark created has been down for the last few days. Unfortunately we cannot get it back up without Ark, and he won't be back for the next week and a half. This whole fiasco started with a crash or shutdown of iD's master server, and with that ours went down too. When that happens we need to restart our master list, yet without Ark here there is no way to restart it. Yet, for now please either use Gamespy with the filter that came with cctf or Pingtool which we have also included a filter for.
UPDATE
The Master Server link on the right hand menu has been redirected to point to a temporary file until Ark can get the master server back up. Although these arent "real-time" stats like the master server, it should allow you to choose servers to play at. You can use the Master Server link on the right, or you can use this link here.

Q3 1.17 to 1.25 Converter

Saw this in the news on the captured.con main page. It's a neat program that converts Quake 3 from v1.27 to v1.17 and vice versa, by moving a few files around, etc. Check out the official website right here or download it from this direct link. You may now update to v1.27 :)
