Wow! Nearly two years since my last update!
I'm doing this one just to get my hand back with HTML that I've completely forgotten since then, and also to announce my entering the Coagula contest. The map I'm working on is well on its way and should be fun playing.
I'll keep you informed (if you ever give a damn).
Well, see you later.

The Lords of the Seven Thousand Galaxies smile upon you.
I've added 2 more maps to the New Maps page, one that you already know of, Orthanc: Rent-A-Fortress that's just been routed by Skorpion, and Moriannon: Return to Forever, also routed by Skorp, a 4FFA level which I rather like.
Other than that, I've a third child; he's 3 weeks old, his name's Corwin, and although the wpolys and skin are alright, the .wav files are too loud. Cute little bugger anyway; just got to get to know him, that's all.
Well, that's it for today; cya later.

Hello all! As I promised, I've just updated the Queer Maps and added the most elegant map ever (My-Opinion [TM]): Archaic Nature by CorpseGrinder; as Fate would have it, Skorpion has just implemented the Omi route for this very map, so I've added it for download.

More news soon about my next map(s).

Oh yes, speaking of Skorpion (who is incidentally one of the nicest chaps I've had the pleasure to exchange Emails with - and what a patience he has with hazy brained customers like me!), he's just implemented Omi routes for my maps; you'll find them on the New Maps page. Thanx, Skorp!

Cya all.

WOOHOOHOO!!!

Grabutch is LOTW (Level Of The Week, you ignoramus)!!! Peek, I love you, and your relatives sixteen generations up and down!

Gawd, I can't believe it! 2 weeks ago, I was just an unknown 40-year-old translator sweating over nonetheless excellent Sci-Fi American novels (BTW, if you like Fantasy, go buy the Farseer series by Robin Hobb; I'm currently translating it into French and it's completely AMAZING!) and here I am soaked all of a sudden with the gold and diamond rain of glory and renoun. Will I be able to keep up with it? Will not so much conspicuity bring out the arrogance and conceit that smoulder deep down inside each of us?

NO! Although blessed with such divine talent and expertise, finally acknowledged by the gaping mob, I shall keep my pride low and let people kiss the hem of my robe (I'll have to buy one, BTW) as I stride along the streets of an awestruck world. Maybe I'll even let them leave their hats on.

To make it short, I'm happy.

(Changing topic:)
Expect another update soon in the Queer Maps page (this one will be about the most elegant map I've ever seen. Which is it? Wait for the update, heh! Suspense...), and another in the New Maps page, about my latest level, Z3, a pic of which you can goggle at just down this page.
Cya all!

Hullo! I just wanted to say thank you to all of you who came to my site - visitors number shot up from 200 to 800+ overnight! Thanks too to PQ, whose people I lick the boots of and suck the hem of their trousers (or socks, in case they don't have trousers, or skirts, in case men would be women, or whatever they wear, if they do wear things - could they go naked?).

I'd like also to announce yet another level on the make: for the time being, it's called Z3, but I'll find something prettier once I've finished it. In the meantime, here's a snap of it:

Z3.gif As you see, it's textured all in black; it's an experiment to see if it is possible to make a (almost) monochromic map. I'll keep you informed as it develops.

Here I come again for another update, this one being to herald the birth of a new page in this site: the Queer Maps page. So if you've got slightly effete maps at home, all dressed in pink and speaking with gracious hand gestures, this is the place where you should send them.
Hrm brrm. Sorry. Well, to get back on the track, it's a page on which I intend to advertise maps which I think deserve some attention, be it because they look original, inventive, odd or simply beautiful, or because they're based on some funny idea. Anyway, I'll be the White Paladin who'll save unjustly forgotten or ignored maps from the mindless void of Oblivion. Yoh.
Now go have a look there. And if you don't like what you see, well, you're an awful conservative-minded llama and that's too bad for you. Yoh again.

Bang! Another update (how do you downdate , BTW?), you happy taxpayers. This one is to say that I've just finished Orthanc (which gave me one bitch of a time cuz Qbsp kept crashing over and over; but I finally made it, huff, huff). As often, I've used my own textures (see next-to-last update), except for rocks and skies, and, well, I rather like it. If anyone would like to test it and give me feedback (don't forget!), it can be downloaded using the link above.
I'll put it in the New Maps section once I'm satisfied it's worth releasing.

Hi, everyone! See that? I'm hosted by eternal PlanetQuake! I've joined the ranks of these almighty mappers wallowing in the duckdown clouds of mapmaking heaven! Hey, guys, is there room left for me? No? Just a minute, where did I put my rocket launcher? What? There's room, finally? Oh great! Thanx so much for your heartfelt welcome.
All right, let's cut the crap. Really, I'm happy to be here and to have a chance to make what I do a bit more known; BTW, if you want to tell me what you think of my site, my maps, textures, or if you just feel lonely, bluesy, edgy, rubbery, down-the-toilet-y, or whatever ends with a "y", just drop me a line and I'll answer (promise!).
I'll be updating this site as often as my work (and my phone bill) allows me; so keep dropping by!

This is my first update; I hope there'll be more ( the demented crowd: YES! YES! All right, there'll be more), but judging from my counter, this site is kind of a forlorn place right now. Aw hell, I'll do my update for me alone.
So: I'm currently working on yet another level decorated with my textures and I think it's coming along quite well. Here are a few snapshots of the beast (which, BTW, should be named Orthanc):

Of course, if Medieval style maps make you throw up and set pimples popping up all over you, forget it.

On the other hand, if you like rock/stone/metal levels, this is the one for you (or it should be). Wait for the upcoming map by Dilvish, the upcoming mapper who'll get you up and coming (does that mean anything? Oh well...)

Well, I've finally done it: I've got my own homepage. I don't know how this will turn out, but for the time being, I intend to use this site as a repository for my Q1 DM levels and my textures.
Any feedback on those subjects (or on anything else, heh) will be welcome.

First of all, I'd like to inform you that I'm French and that my English may seem a bit weird sometimes; so please bear with me.

All right now, let's get into the thick of it:
In this News page, I'll be giving all the crucial information about me and my work progress that you people crave for (don't you?); also, I'll point to maps, textures or whatever done by others that catch my attention and that I think deserve at least a look at. Now, I don't intend to try to match my skills to great mappers whose names you know as well as I do (Hi, Bal, fellow Frenchie! I don't know where you live in France, but did you get as rainsoaked as we Southerners?); I only think the maps I do are not that bad and that some of you might even enjoy playing them - if only for sightseeing.

In the "New Maps" page, I'll be displaying - guess what? All right, that was an easy one, but I wanted to see if you were following my babbling. Well, there you are: new maps in the New maps page. Incredible, huh? If you don't believe me, go see for yourself. I don't have much more to say on the topic anyway.

And, finally (for now), the "Textures" page, in which I'll include textures of my own that you may be interested in (who knows?). This section will probably be updated regularly, as I create my textures as I need them, so that my tex wad grows everyday - you lucky bastards.

This site was made with the help of Arachnophilia and excellent advice I found at Philgate.com (in French, sorry all English-only speaking persons!)
