The following skins are my own personal work unless otherwise noted. They can be downloaded and used for "inspiration" or as a base as long as the final skin based on them is a new and fresh addition to the Quake skin community. Cut-n-paste skiners, hack artists and colorizers can go steal from someone else. Read the guide and do the skin from scratch; there is no excuse for claiming someone else's work as your own.
I only play TF these days, and so I have a real vested interest in how TF works with it's skins. For those that don't know, TF contains 9 distinct classes of players, each one with different abilities and weapons. To do clan skins for TF you litereally need to make a matched set of 9 skins which are suited to the classes. TF skins work by configuring the server which defines the classes to use new skins instead of the default. It's identical to the flag skin replacements which are already being done. In 2.6 it's been made much easier by allowing the skin assignments to be in the localinfo. To my knowledge I am the only Skin Artist making skins for TF. I am in the progress of making skins for Phoenix, my TF clan, and they will all be up shortly.
The original pack of TF skins are also available, just download the zip.
For regular deathmatch clans you really only need one skin. You get a personal skin and everyone wears it in a game and you are set appart from everyone else because you appear different from the regular guy.
Obviously most of the mail is get is about the QSpy skin. In truth, like most of my skins, I was never totally happy with it, and I have now created a cleaned up and altered version as the GameSpy skin. The one on the left did win the contest but was all I had the time to do. Since then I took a bit more and came out with the revision, which I'm happy with now. That'll be the last revision of the skin for regular Quake. It's fairly easy to do up a shirt-n-pants version which allows you to chose the colors, and I'll have that up too, in a bit.
