From the Hardcore Side
There are people who play Quake, and then there are people who live and breathe it. In "From the Hardcore Side", a new semi-regular feature at PQ, Pappy-R brings all his hardcore gaming experience to you and talks about what's going on in the hardcore scene today.

The Top Clans

Last time on the Hardcore Side we got into some Q&A with the current QIL team champs, the Stickmen, and this time we'll finish it up with talk on team strategy and the QIL Final Four where these guys layed some smack down on some very serious competition. Let's get right to it.

Pappy-R:
So how were the finals (QIL Final Four) handled?

stx-unit: Well, they paid for our tickets and rooms which was great.

stx-doggod: I enjoyed it, was well run.

stx-unit: They kinda were patchy with the transportation though. I got stranded at the airport when i was suppposed to have a ride. The transport back to the airport was a big shuttlebus that was paid for by the players and not by the tourney organizers. But it was cool.

stx-wombat: They did give us 100$ spending money though.

stx-doggod: it was definitely a fun and worthwhile trip though.

stx-unit: Yeah it worked out.

stx-doggod: They put us up in a nice hotel, gave us money for food and such and got us pimp computers to play the finals on.

stx-wombat: I think it was nicely run considering that was their first lan event.

stx-doggod: This season set a lot of precedents for team competetion, in that respect it was a huge success.

stx-unit: I agree, the competition was top-notch.

stx-freed: Yeah, this was by far, the best qil tourney ever.

Pappy-R: So the Stickmen are in it for the long haul with the QIL then?

stx-doggod: Yes :)

stx-wombat: you know it

stx-swerdnik: We sure hope so :)

stx-unit: Absolutely

stx-cappavelli: Aye cappy

stx-doggod: We plan on participating in the future QIL's

stx-freed: Definately

stx-swerdnik: We are looking forward to defending our title ;)

Pappy-R: So what was your season record this time?

stx-unit: Season record in games or matches?

stx-swerdnik: 23-4 in games

stx-swerdnik: 7-1 in matches

stx-doggod: 20-4 :)

Pappy-R: That's pretty damned sweet guys.

stx-swerdnik: err yeah 20-4

Next: the guys give some tips to the readers
