Match 2A - Round 2

Final Score

Ash: 18
Pappy-R: 11

The Winner

Comments: That was a great match, and a lot of fun. I started the match really flustered and unsure of myself. I wasn't used to this level of competition while I was practicing, and the three quick frags at the beginning of the match had me worried. However, I got into my groove, and by the end of the match it was looking a little bit more like my usual play. I wasn't expecting him to be able to turn the tides as easily as he did. I was expecting a much more clear cut win once I got on a roll, but it just didn't work that way.

I had a lot of fun playing this relatively close match, and I look forward to the possibility of playing Pappy again. Of course, if it happens again... you can expect the same results: close, but with Ash on top.

The Loser

Comments: That was one hot game, and I have to hand Ash a well earned win. This was however due to one error on my part...and it won't happen again. Keep winning Ash, wait right where you are, 'cause I want to dance after I clear out the rabble here in the loser's bracket.

To my fellow contenders, you'll all be paying dearly for the events of last night. The days of Pappy being the "nice guy" are over and you'll all feel my sting. Doubtful are you? Watch my demo from lastnight's match and fear! I finally got a demo (whoop!!) recorded in the Top Dawg, and I recommend you all watch it, because that's what's coming for you! As a note to my supporters, I'll show you I'm still the man for the job, and my next match will be flawless. Great game Ash, get comfy and take Sluggo down...I'll be back.

Smack talk aside, matches like last night's are what I was hoping to see in the Top Dawg. That'll get your blood up! On the up side, Ash owes me two beers after last night's match scores.

Poll Comentary and Match Summary

OK, this is the hot match of the week. The two titans at the Big Fuzzy. Both have a strong history of dominance. Ash being on a hot streak at the moment, and Pappy holding the flag of experience. What a friggin great match! Watching these two huff away is a real treat. I strongly suggest you check out the demos. Off the bat, Pappy instills the fear into Ash by taking him down hard for three frags straight. Ash had no breathing room. Then something clicked for Ash. Pappy maintained a good, constant health level while Ash hung his hat on the Red Armor and Mega Health hat rack. The lead toggles from one player to the next and back again as they continued to pound each other. When it finally came down to it, Ash would continually lay some rockets and finish Pappy off with the lightning gun. It turned out to be the winning recipe as Ash caps the night off with a win of 18-11. Both players rocked hard. GG to the titanic two.
