Mynx: Yeah baybee, YEAH!
Lee'Mon: Well, it's a Mynx monopoly. So much for my insightful writing... only 60-some "Generations" fans out there, eh?
L33t'M0n: Whoa. Lee'Mon passed up a chance to pimp WireHead Studios? I'm shocked...
Pappy-R: The news does tell you when the Poll and Mynx are ready, so it's all good.
Hellchick: I can't believe the poll won. (makes rude noise)
Spyke: Only 4 people like PQ in Review? Kill me now.
Fargo: We should combine Dear Mynx and the Poll together. We could call it ... "Mynx's Pole."
shaithis: Dude, the poll rox0rs. I've been reading the PQ poll for like three and a half years now. Started back when it was Wampey's Census.

Now that all the patches have been released, are you completely satisfied with Quake II? (March 31, 1998)

Mynx: Waaahahahah. QuakeII. Bwahahahaha.
Lee'Mon: Quake2 was (and is) a great game. I'm one of the few, the proud, the ones that actually played the whole damn single player game. Q2 was also my advent into multiplayer, since it coincided with my college T1 connection.
L33t'M0n: Quake*2... it's two times the fun.
Pappy-R: I can definately call Quake 2 complete, and I still play it, although not in multiplayer since Q3A broke out.
Hellchick: I really liked the single player Quake 2 game, and still think it's kind of fun to play.
Spyke: I haven't played Quake 2 since Q3A came out. It's a good game, but I keep with the times, baby!
Fargo: Quake II was a stumbling block that slowed the evolution of the allmighty Quake I. Boo with the Strogg!
shaithis: I liked Quake 2, but I sort of agree with Fargo. It didn't have the atmosphere that Quake 1 had (and Quake 3 is sorta trying for, even though they included too much techno-space-shit).

How many people do you know in RealLife(tm) that play Quake? (March 31, 1998)

Mynx: Well, lessee.. there's me, Mental, and the guy at EB with the greasy hair and odor problem. So, 3.
Lee'Mon: Ew! Mynx, never count EB or Software Etc. employees. They smell.
L33t'M0n: All my evil clone friends are Quake players.
Pappy-R: Hmm...25 to 30 I think is a safe call. Now they're not all hardcore, but I still love'em.
Hellchick: Almost everyone I know plays. I'm thinking of making it a rule.
Spyke: I'd say I probably have about 10-15 friends who play Quake and other first person shooters. Just enough to start a gang.
Fargo: This question can't possibly count, I work at GameSpy. Anyone who doesn't play Quake is treated as a leper.
shaithis: Everyone who works at GameSpy + about five other people.

Mynx: I can't believe I didn't make this list. And neither did Fargo. So my third choice would have to be Hellchick. :)
Lee'Mon: Yes! I won! I won! I... [re-reads question] HEY!
L33t'M0n: ALTER EGO?!? I'm offended! I am an EVIL CLONE! Granted, that llama Lee'Mon and I look similar, but trust me, I'm the sexy bitch of the two.
Pappy-R: While Lee and Hellchick are technically screwed up individuals, it's another personality around here that should have gotten the prize. Due to that individual's mental state, he/she can not be named. (But he watches wrestling!)
Hellchick: Wow!! Lee'Mon actually beat me! The rule of Hellchick's name always being the winning answer has been broken! Excuse me while I cry like a little girl.
Spyke: Fargo watches wrestling too?
Fargo: [Flexes muscles and grunts]
shaithis: I have to sit next to Fargo while he watches wrestling, flexes his muscles, and grunts. It's scary.

Mynx: If it moves, shoot it. If it moves more, shoot it again.
Lee'Mon: Defense. Excellent opportunity to camp. I am the Engineer every opportunity I get.
L33t'M0n: If it looks at me funny, shoot it. [pause] Hey, what are you staring at?!?
Pappy-R: I play defensively to be the most offensive player on the map. You can still bounce your teammates into hellfog with an RL. Buh Bye!
Hellchick: I like defense, and it's generally what I'm better at.
Spyke: What's teamplay?
Fargo: Wait, which type of player camps the most? That's me.
shaithis: Quake 3 Fortress, the only teamplay mod that I currently play, has such a wonderful assortment of classes that I am compelled to switch often, and play a variety of roles.

Mynx: What is this cable/DSL thing of which you speak? Doeth it have boobies? I'll just sit here quietly with my 56k, and cry.
Lee'Mon: Ah... the broadband revolution has begun.
L33t'M0n: Either that, or the modemers spent the entire week waiting for the Poll page to load.
Pappy-R: Ya gotta love cable! Grab whatever you want, when you want. (/me sympathizes heavily with Mynx though.)
Hellchick: Nope - you gotta love a T1 at work and DSL in the house, baby.
Spyke: Hell no I don't! I love my DSL.
Fargo: Still waiting for my DSL. Right now whenever I download a mod I dial a special 1-800 number where a computerized voice reads me the hexadecimal code and I type it in one character at a time. I'm still downloading Threewave CTF for Quake I...
shaithis: No. I'be been on broadband for the last three years, so it's been many moons since I needed to worry about such things. AWWWWWW YEAAAHHHH (as they say).

Who are these people anyway?

Pappy-R is the PQ Site Director, PQ's News Jockey and Part-time Table Dancer.
Spyke spent a lot of time editing this as the PQ Content Manager.
Lee'Mon writes articles and editorials for PQ, which means he's really into finding things to complain about.
Hellchick was the PQ Site Director, or at least has convinced her friends that she was.
shaithis is a former PQ Site Director who now spends his days running GameSpy.com and sharpening the spikes on the top of his cubicle. You think we're kidding.
Fragmaster also used to run PQ, and now manages ClassicGaming.com and the console section of the GameSpy network. He also enjoys the occasional potted tuna.
Mynx is our resident advice expert, knowledgeable about all sorts of topics that the rest of us are just too scared to touch.
Tetsuo performs miracles that mere mortals cannot understand as part of the tech team at GameSpy. He also really likes bacon. Even more than Hellchick.
Fargo has been around since the beginning of PQ. He's been known to camp everything, including the poll.
