Would you ever get hitched to someone who was as much a Quake-fanatic as you? [Submitted by Crass]

Answer Votes
Percentage
Yep, I already am. My pookie looks sooo cute when he/she camps the Quad.
137
10.5%
I might, but only if we could afford two gaming rigs.
948
72.8%
No, I don't think I could stand someone who plays Quake as much as me.
217
16.6%

Mynx: I met my husband in shareware deathmatch. So uh, I guess my answer is "yes".
Spyke: I am so totally not sure what the word "pookie" refers to.
Hellchick: I'm more of a gamer than Sludge is, but what can I say, I'll take him anyway.
Ash: I hope so. My girl tried Quake a couple times and had fun, so maybe I can get her to practice by the time we decide to get hitched.
Pappy-R: Been there, did that!! My brand new wife Gizmo-Z agrees, that Quakers make the best...partners. (phew, close one)

With Q3A being the "last" Quake game (for a while at least), what will happen to PQ? [Submitted by Deth On A Stik]

Answer Votes
Percentage
I've already started digging the grave.
106
8%
It'll hold out for a while, till something better comes along.
123
9.3%
PQ will live until all the staff consist of Lee'Mon's alter egos.
132
9.9%
Mynx's children will take over when the others die.
113
8.5%
PQ will never die! The staff are immortal!
238
18%
They'll become Planetid for all things id-ish.
424
32%
They'll become PlanetHellchick for all things Hellchick-ish.
186
14%

Mynx: Sheyah like I'd let my children anywhere near Fargo.
Spyke: I've already started making my clones.
Hellchick: Go on, do a whois on PlanetHellchick.
Ash: Are there other games to cover? I was pretty sure that Quake was computer gaming... is someone not telling me something?
Pappy-R: PQ is gonna sit right here, in your face, and kick out the juice for as long as they let me have Web access! I still play Quake 1 like many other diehards, so it's gonna be a long, long ride kids.

Which would you prefer: A single player Q3A mod, or a multiplayer Q3A mod? [Submitted by Hellchick]

Answer Votes
Percentage
Single player! Other people piss me off.
456
34.8%
Multiplayer! Not having other people to play against pisses me off.
391
29.8%
Neither! Q3A is fine the way it is, not pissing me off.
64
4.8%
This question sucks! Hellchick comes up with sucky questions that piss me off.
397
30.3%

Mynx: I like to play with myself.
Spyke: Almost 400 people thought that something related to Hellchick sucked. This is a new record.
Hellchick: I may have come up with that sucky question, but Spyke asked me to come up with a question because he couldn't. So blame HIM.
Ash: How in the world do you follow a comment like Mynx's?
Pappy-R: Since there aren't any single player mods available yet, that's what I want to see.

Will you be buying Quake 3: Team Arena? [Submitted by Hellchick]

Answer Votes
Percentage
Yes! I would buy John Carmack's dirty socks if he sold them.
291
22.2%
Yeah, probably.. it looks good.
482
36.9%
No, I'm not really interested in what it has to offer.
182
13.9%
Bah! Do they expect me to pay another 30 bucks for that?
351
26.8%

Mynx: Yah, prolly. Mental makes me buy every game as soon as it is out. *cough* Ultima Ascension *cough*
Spyke: I'd love to get one for free from the fine folks at id Software. Wink wink.
Hellchick: Does Carmack own a Ferarri?
Ash: Team Arena is dead seksi, I'm already building my altar in the back yard from rocks and shards of metal.
Pappy-R: Hellchick promised to steal me a signed copy on her next mission..err, trip to id Software.

Who would you most like to see compose the music for the new Doom game? [Submitted by GearMeat]

Answer Votes
Percentage
Bobby Prince; his music for the original ruled!
191
14.5%
Trent Reznor; the Quake ambience ruled, and I'm a total NINnie.
445
33.8%
Somebody new; just as long as it's not Sonic Mayhem.
185
14%
Pat Boone; the old-timers out there need some music they can dig.
32
2.4%
No music; I just turn it off anyways.
160
12.1%
302
22.9%

Mynx: I didn't mind the Doom music, it added to the atmosphere (aaaaaaah the atmosphere. aaaaaaah)... but I always turned the Quake music OFF.
Spyke: I came up with the NINnie part. Can you guess what my answer is?
Hellchick: the 80's hit singing duo Wham! With their combination of style and panache, I just KNOW it'll be a hit!
Ash: I'm not too fond of the Quake soundtrack, but anything with NiN and id Software in the same thought gets my vote.
Pappy-R: The Doom music was the only real "music" that made the game more than it was. I'm torn here since the Reznor stuff in Q1 was more ambient noise and well worth having in there.

If Quake was edible, what would it taste like? [Submitted by Smart X]

Answer Votes
Percentage
Chicken.
263
20.2%
Beer.
342
26.3%
It's a freakin' CD, for crying out loud!
329
25.3%
Don't bother me.. hungry.. must have more Quake!
364
28%

Mynx: boobies.
Spyke: Chicken cooked in beer.
Hellchick: Mmmmmm...beer.
Ash: Mmmmmm... boobies.
Pappy-R: I have to disagree with Mynx this one time. If Quake indeed tasted like boobies, I would not have left the house and met my dear wife. (Note that she is still a "dear wife" after one whole week of marriage)

Who are these people anyway?

Pappy-R is PQ's Site Director, News Jockey and no longer table dances. Sorry ladies.
Spyke is PQ Content Manager, does the PQ in Review, the PQ Mailbag, and your girlfriend.
Lee'Mon writes articles and editorials for PQ, which means he's really into finding things to complain about.

Hellchick is GameSpy's Action Genre Producer, or at least has convinced her friends that she is.
shaithis is a former PQ Site Director who now spends his days running GameSpy.com and sharpening the spikes on the top of his cubicle. You think we're kidding.
Fragmaster also used to run PQ, and now manages ClassicGaming.com and the console section of the GameSpy network. He also enjoys the occasional potted tuna.
Mynx is our resident advice expert, knowledgeable about all sorts of topics that the rest of us are just too scared to touch.
Tetsuo performs miracles that mere mortals cannot understand as part of the tech team at GameSpy. He also really likes bacon. Even more than Hellchick.
Fargo has been around since the beginning of PQ. He's been known to camp everything, including the poll.
