How much should Quake 3: Team Arena cost? [Submitted by Spyke]

It should be free, dammit!

Around $20; a fair price for a mission pack.

Around $30; this isn't just ANY mission pack!

Why should I care? I'm not buying it.

Mynx (I'm baaaaaaack!): I'd make Mental buy it, regardless of the cost.
Lee'Mon: C'mon, guys. Team Arena beats the pants off of any team-based mod out there... $20's a reasonable price to pay.
Ash: I definately plan on getting it, as soon as my budget allows.
shaithis: Err... I have to say "free", because it seems unrealistic to me to pay for some deathmatch maps, models and mods when I can get an assload of them for free on the net. Gimme a *whole* game, and then charge me for it.
Pappy-R: About 3/4 of the regular game cost would be fine by me. I'd of course take a signed copy free. (This message was aimed directly at id Software!)
Spyke: I'm poor! I'll try to get myself a free copy. :)
Hellchick: (thinking about how much her answer could jeopardize her relationship with id Software)

Mynx (I'm baaaaaaack!): I beat myself daily!
Lee'Mon: Ritualistic beatings are just part of the daily happenings here at PQ.
Ash: gg self kill.
shaithis: Yes. I've also been beaten by PQ staffers at Quake. It's a give and take thing.
Pappy-R: OK, so there's 752 people we haven't played yet. Names people, I want names!
Spyke: I can't believe Mynx just went there.
Hellchick: I beat Pappy-R once. He sent me the hospital bill the other day.

Mynx (I'm baaaaaaack!): I used to live for coffee and cigarettes. Now its Mother's Milk Tea and cookies. Oh, domesticity.
Lee'Mon: Dew for me, beer for my friends. Fragging is way more fun when THEY'RE drunk. ;^)
Ash: Water, all the way. Must be pure like the waterfall and lotus blossom... to wh00p ass like ninja!
shaithis: I still live for coffee and cigarettes. Oh, bachelorhood ;)
Pappy-R: Coffee in the AM, Coke Classic after lunch and it's beer after 7pm.
Spyke: Cola cola cola. I'm still saving for the IV though.
Hellchick: Beer, for sure. Corona, to be exact.

Mynx (I'm baaaaaaack!): Poor widdle Spykey. But yeah I'm gunna go with "pansy".
Lee'Mon: The poll script ate the questions, to be sure. But nonetheless, I vote "pansy."
Ash: This is kind of like Who Wants To Be A Millionare, when the audiance poll is so clear cut, who's going to go for anything else?
shaithis: Real men don't "cry". They unleash a bloodcurdling howl of agony and despair. Then they curl up and weep.
Pappy-R: He's not really a pansy, I just keep poking him with the stick.
Spyke: I was asking for it with this question.. ugh.
Hellchick: Ouch, that's gotta hurt.

Mynx (I'm baaaaaaack!): Dude. Don't mess with the DC. Its almost better than boobies. Almost.
Lee'Mon: But, PCs ARE better than boobies. [thinks] Well, almost.
Ash: It's moot, though, I do have some a Mad Catz DC controller with accessories that I won at QCon if anyone is interested... really!
shaithis: The Dreamcast ROCKS YOU. It's awesome. But I'm not going to buy a mouse, keyboard, and Q3A when I can just play it on my PC.
Pappy-R: My contract with GameSpy prohibits me from playing on a Dreamcast until I go down to the office so they can all take turns whooping me. Oh well...they seem to enjoy it.
Spyke: Yours truly TOTALLY wants a Dreamcast! It reeks of high-octane coolosity! It's steek!
Hellchick: If I had a Dreamcast, I would buy it. I would buy anything Q3A. Hell, I'd buy glow-in-the-dark left nostril inhaler if it had the Q3A logo on it.

Who are these people anyway?

Pappy-R is PQ's Ex-Table Dancer and Site Director.
Spyke is the oh-so-l33t PQ Content Manager!
Ash is PQ's part-time News Jockey and Gopher
Lee'Mon writes articles and editorials for PQ, which means he's really into finding things to complain about.

Hellchick is GameSpy's Action Genre Producer, or at least has convinced her friends that she is.
shaithis is a former PQ Site Director who now spends his days running GameSpy.com and sharpening the spikes on the top of his cubicle. You think we're kidding.
Fragmaster also used to run PQ, and now manages ClassicGaming.com and the console section of the GameSpy network. He also enjoys the occasional potted tuna.
Mynx is our resident advice expert, knowledgeable about all sorts of topics that the rest of us are just too scared to touch.
Tetsuo performs miracles that mere mortals cannot understand as part of the tech team at GameSpy. He also really likes bacon. Even more than Hellchick.
Fargo has been around since the beginning of PQ. He's been known to camp everything, including the poll.
