Where do you play Quake / Quake II online?
My own server
A friend's server
Any old server
Other commercial server
dweomer: Local PQ servers only... spoiled I guess?
Fargo: Whoever this Any Old guy is, he's clearly got the best performance.
Gestalt: He must be on Viagra to keep up that kind of performance, Fargo...
What's your favourite source of caffeine for those late night fragging sessions?
Coffee flavoured coffee
Void: Coke over Pepsi?! wtf is this? And coffee, all the way.
dweomer: Dr. Pepper
Fargo: Wow, we should start runing banner ads for Pepsi. They're losing the gamer market!!
Gestalt: I don't drink coffee I take tea my dear, I like my toast done on one side, you can hear it in my accent when I talk, I'm an Englishman in... um .. England actually.
Have you ever played Quake / Quake II over a LAN?
Void: Aww yeah... playing online hurts afterwards.
dweomer: Beatdown, Beatdown, Beatdown, Beatdown, Beatdown.
Fargo: Yeah! You tell 'em!
Gestalt: I've never played Quake over a LAN, but my very first experience of deathmatch was playing the original Doom shareware over my school's network... Ah, happy days.
Do you like FPS games to be realistic or would you rather take 5 rockets at point blank and walk off with a slight headache?
Realism is the holy grail
Realism is good
Couldn't care less
Realism is bad
Realism is ruining the game
You mean there's life after Quake?
Void: As long as I can jump clear over people while carrying a truckload worth of ammo, and change directions in the air, I'm happy.
dweomer: I like the rush and excitement that I get with Quake. If you can do realism and make it exciting, go for it.
Fargo: We're talking about two different games. I like Quake for being Quake and I like Close Combat for being realistic.
Gestalt: I like realism, but it can be taken too far... If I want realism I'll join the army.
Do you check out our Level & Mod of the Week features?
Void: Yep... Vomitorium owns.
Fargo: Here's a good poll question: Would you like to see more a mix of Quake I and Quake II stuff?
Gestalt: Well what are you waiting for? Get over there now dammit!
If a man frags himself and no one's on the server to hear him, does he make a sound?
I need to consult my lawyer
I need to consult my monkey
Which idiot writes these questions?
dweomer: I think the real question is, which idiot screens these questions before posting them.
Fargo: We love you, Gestalt, but more questions is not neccessarily better. ;)
Gestalt: Um... Sorry guys, won't happen again. :-) It was the monkeys, I swear it was!
Have you registered GameSpy?
Yes - of course I have!
No - I'm a cheapskate
No - I'm skint
No - I haven't got around to it
No - I don't use it
Gestalt: Nice to know what a bunch of tight-fisted measers you all are... ;-)
Why haven't you sent in a question for the Planetquake poll yet?
I have, and they used it
I have, but they didn't use it
I'm too lazy
I can't think of a good one
I'm too busy playing Quake
Because I have a life
Void: Can't think of a good one? Since when was that a requirement!? :)
Fargo: If only "eerrrr .... uhhhh" was acceptable on the S.A.T....
Gestalt: I don't remember getting that many questions... Oh well, what do I know. To the rest of you - get on and send them in!
