PQ in Review
Spyke recaps last week and all the things you may have missed! - by Spyke

PQ In Review: someonepleasehelpme

News

Kind of a weakling week, but we'll make up for it (as shown later in the Coming Soon), so let's kick it off! Like clockwork, we delivered the Levels of the Week, Model of the Week, Kiyone, and the Mod of the Week, Instagib! Following up a hit with Dear Tycho, we thrust the other half of the dynamic duo behind Penny Arcade into the world of gross e-mails, and he came up with what can only be described as Dear Gabe! This week's PQ Poll asks the questions you want to be asked, so quit complaining! Oh yeah, the past week's results are there too. We had the Dueling Mailbags of Doom this week, as Pappy R and Demonwench delivered the PQ Mailbag, and Love2Play got up to get down with the TechTips Mailbag!

Coming Soon

Coming up this week, according to the leader and guru that is Pappy R, we've got one of the BIG surprises that has been promised, and apparently it will involve "big love". Personally, I'm afraid. Of course, to make up for it, we'll have everything else. Trust me.

Question of the Damned

What with the Point/Counterpoint at 3DAP today, I chose to ask this: "What do you think of Pro Gaming becoming a real spectator sport?"

Hellchick:

It's all in my editorial with shaithis, which is conveniently located at http://www.3dactionplanet.com/features/editorials/progaming/.

Pappy R:

I think that it could become a spectator sport if the team aspect was used more. That would require some real cam work to make it action packed and not confusing to the newer audience. At a LAN event I held we had a Big Screen in the bar and total strangers to Quake just loved it. They were cheering and carrying on like a football game. It can be done I think.

Spyke:

It might happen, but the interest has to be there. I had an idea way back about running a network of servers that show a match by proxy, and adding commentary and production to it, and it ending up like a TV show. Like a Monday Night Football for Quake. As for in person, it's never gonna happen.

Lee'Mon and Ash were so disappointed with Hellchick taking the easy way out, they started crying, and shut themselves into their rooms. They've been in there a few hours, and they'll get hungry soon, don't worry.

Remember, if you want to submit a Question of the Damned, just e-mail me!

Spyke's Profound Thought

Hmm.. still haven't played any new games. After finishing both Alice and Nocturne, I've fallen back into my rut of Tony Hawk 2. I figure I'll pass career mode with every single skater; that should take me a while. Now, let's see.. profoundness. Stevie Wonder is very funky. So is Hellchick, but don't tell her I told you. She'll kill me. I'm going to go hide in a corner now.
