This past week has had it's comings and goings. Such as Mr. Paul Steed. It seems that he has left his position with WildTangent in order to form his own company. Wish I had the cash to do that! As for the comings, the crew at Black Ops CQB (otherwise known as Magic Studios) has been adding people left and right. Some excellent releases came out as well such as Sidrial. But it's not just that. No sir. The team over at Fountainhead Entertainment is also in the need for some multiplayer maps. So their going to have a contest" and let the community create them. And here I've been jonesin' for some fresh material. ssaammwwe has put up this weeks "Wall of the Week" over at Quake The Wall. Exceptional surroundings I say. And if that's not a kicker, maybe this will be. It seems that a person by the name of Captain Fresh has joined the stinky monkey in pajamas crew with a_madman over at the PlanetQuake Mailbag. Ah, and lets not forget the loving and caring, beautiful Jube. No, she is much to important for that. And if you really do care about her, you know you didn't miss this week's Quake Scopes. Why am I kissing her ass you ask? I'll give you two words: thong, table dance! Actually, I don't want her to slam me in her next desktop readings. And alas, the Polycount team has been doing some maddening reviews lately along with those being added almost on a daily basis to ..::LvL. A new build of the Eternal Arena mod for Q3A is now available. Version 5.6.2 addresses some bugs that were floating about. Do bugs really float? And lastly, a blast from the Dteam, they have an interview with Stevie "Killcreek" Case of Monkeystone games with some screenies to boot.
The team at Tritin Films, home of Quake: The Movie, have always impressed the piss out of me with their talents and skills. Well they have recently added some more cinematic filmage to their Film Library, some Quake related, some not. They've also got some hot new goodies coming soon, such as Sgt. Grunt Jenkins: Extreme Measures and some CGI animated stuffage. If you're a Quake movie buff then get it on over to Tritin Films, get out the Raisinettes and sit a spell. Yall come back now, hear?
Stump the Chump
This Week's Question is: "Imagine you are in a sinking rowboat surrounded by sharks in the middle of the ocean with no one around to help you. How would you survive?"
E-mail me the correct answer and the winners names will be posted in next week's PQ in Review.
You too can submit a "Stump the Chump" question, just e-mail me!
IceStorm's Thought o' the Week
Tis the season for cold's and flu's. Fa la la la la, la la *cough* *cough* *hack*. Well, this week it seems many of us had the illness of the cold and flu. I was the lucky one, I got strep. But that gave me an extra day to consult my dictionary of possible new Quake words to use on a server after I've fragged someone. It seems the popular one these days amongst the ill informed (meaning the llama's) is "owned". Well lets face facts, you didn't own anyone. So here's my new term to use. (drum roll please) Its SCHOOLED. You see, after I've nailed you for the 17th straight time, you should of learned not to go that route. So consider yourself schooled! So the term 'owned' is now only used by llama's, lamers, flamers, and of course the uneducated that just need to get their ass SCHOOLED!
