PQ in Review
IceStorm (that's me!) recaps the week and all the goodies you may have missed! It's almost like having candy. - by IceStorm

PQ In Review: Beware of yellow snow.

News

Power corrupts. That's a well known fact. However, Bid for Power just rocks. Yep, a new patch taking it to version 1.1 is out. You can download it from Fileplanet. This past week there's been some new interviews popping up. The Annihilating Interview by Padwah is up and so is one on Western Quake 3. Both are a good read and will put some things into perspective if you don't know about either. And in another side, Todd Hollenshead has done a interview about the future of id software. Game Admins have posted up some new server guides for the admin in you. Or if you just want to educate yourself some. And some news that Beryllium has been ported up to 1.29 point release. And I also want to take this chance to welcome Lara Croft to the world of Quake III Arena. Lara has joined us over in our PlanetQuake Model of the Week section. She's a hottie. And we cannot forget PlanetQuake Mailbag this week either. Personally, I'm still trying to figure out the beanies they wear. Oh, a really excellent update this week was up over at Tribal CTF. This team has been busting ass working hard on their mod. Schwing! Oh, and what has to be the funniest news of the week is the largest Quake III tower ever. Over 35 players stacked on this one. Don't believe me? Well then look at the pictures here, here, and here. Now that's team work. And lastly for this week, the latest Quake Toolkit is out to make your world just a tad easier.

Coming Soon

Well, it's not out soon. It was out yesterday. Urban Terror has finally released version 2.4 of their BETA Quake III modification. This beta software is brought to you by those folks at Silicon Ice Development and has brought hours of fun to millions. You can download the Upgrade to 2.4 or you can download the Full version from Fileplanet. Again I say this. This is only BETA software and is not an actual release. Hopefully Oswald and team will produce the final product sooner then later.

This Week's Question is: "Two brothers were constantly fighting, so to punish them their mother forced them to stand on a single piece of newspaper facing each other. She fixed it so it was physicaly impossible for the brothers to touch each other and they couldn't step foot off the paper until they made up. How did she do this?" Thanks to Rudeboy for this one!

IceStorm:

E-mail me the correct answer and the winners names will be posted in next week's PQ in Review.

You too can submit a "Stump the Chump" question, just e-mail me!

IceStorm's Thought o' the Week

Ok, we all know the past two weeks I've been ranting on using a new terminology. Instead of saying "owned" and looking like the schmucks we really are, I'm trying to ween people off of that word used only by farm yard animals and onto a new, improved statement. So with that I gotta give some mad props to Raptore. He says "I've been subtly indoctrinating my clan with "schooled" usage, and I don't think they know anything yet. Muhahaha my evil plan is proceeding perfectly...". This is exactly what we need. One must take it upon themselves to make this a better place to frag. Why continue to use slang that even 6 year old's stopped using because they knew it to be of false bravado. So again my legions of doom, bring your brethren onto the new light. Mercy shall be paid for in frag's! And no more grapple monkeys! hahahaha Ahem, excuse me for that outburst. Anyways, I'll say this again. Stop saying you were owned or that you just owned. Fact of the matter, you don't own anyone no matter how good you really are. However, you can school someone in the ways of modern Quake! Lets rock.
