Maybe it's me, but a_madmand and his PlanetQuake Mailbag seems to be on the deranged side of the world. Or maybe he's just weird like that, I dunno. But I do know that Jube did up a special QuakeScopes just for V.D. day and they Olympics. Also, the The Dark Conjunction team got up into The Big Fuzzy and if you saw it you'd see some really excellent photos. On the model side of life we had some nice new features out this week. Skindom was posting them out like crazyed, drooling, pycho's. And Polycount did their part with quite a few reviews on models. But what really looked out of place was our own PlanetQuake Model of the Week. This past week, there has been so many map reviews and map releases it's hard to get them all. But I'll try. Polo Map Factory did Berzerker, RA3 Map Project released a map pack of 10 maps, Multiplayer Quake posted up three new Quake map reviews, The Darkside put up his beta of Frozen Colors (which is looking sweet btw), the GnC's Mapping Depot put up two new maps for leeching, one's for Team Arena and the other's a standard FFA map, if you're looking for really small and simple reviews then ..::LvL is the place. They've posted up an assload again this week. While their reviews won't give you all the detail you need, it'll whet your whistle and wanting more. The Llama Tomb is out for Quake II using some nice texturing from our own Sock, and The Big House has posted up some map packs too. And Killers Map Repository posted up a fresh DM for Quake III called Fistful of Steel. Whew...thats a lot of level love just right there. Lastly, I must bring this up to everyone's attention. Pappy-R has put out a GameSpy's Mod Developers Week and has so much information about mod's such as Urban Terror, Bid for Power, and other mod's for other games. You must check this out. It's really good.
The Dark Conjunction Demo 1.0 has been released! You can go grab your copy from Fileplanet! Our own Pappy-R did a excellent preview on this new release. Also remember that they will soon be releasing their entities.def so everyone can start making their own single-player maps. The file will be accompanied with a brief manual explaining how to use the new entities and designing tips. Nice huh?
Stump the Chump
Last Week's Question was: "Two brothers were constantly fighting, so to punish them their mother forced them to stand on a single piece of newspaper facing each other. She fixed it so it was physicaly impossible for the brothers to touch each other and they couldn't step foot off the paper until they made up. How did she do this?"
The Answer Is:
Put the paper under a door and make each son stand on one side of it.
The Winners Were:
ConfusedUS (lucky guess)
Much better! haha I have you in my grasp now.
This Week's Question is: "If the only sister of your mother's only brother has an only child, what would be your relationship to that child?"
E-mail me the correct answer and the winners names will be posted in next week's PQ in Review.
You too can submit a "Stump the Chump" question, just e-mail me!
IceStorm's Thought o' the Week
FINALLY!! I finally saw someone say that they "just had your ass schooled". It was hilarious too. This ol' boy was just toying with this kid. I lost it. Anyways, back to todays lesson. Clans, and what good are they? To me, their pointless. If you really think about it, clans are nothing more then just friends playing together. Unless you're doing it only for money like cK and so forth. Then it's different. But for 99.9% of the world, we join clans to just play with people we know. Just like in real life. But in life, they called them tribes and what not. Do we really need to have a "tag" in front of our name? Nah, not really. But it does help seperate you from the others and does place you into a certain crowd. That's both good and bad depending on the time. I've been in a few clans, even started one up on my own for Quake II back in the day. But again, we were just friends and really didn't need a tag to make us a team. We just were. What about your clan?
