Most of this previous week I wasn't around. It seems that I got into a tangle with mother nature...she won. Yep, just after last week's PQ in Review was posted up a bolt of lightning was sent my way. End of my computing time. But I'm back. So this is what I missed, maybe you did too. Some work is being done with the next version of Proball in the model side of the mod. Also on the mod scene is Fobik with the release of version 1.1 for the frenzied masses. Urban Terror fans will get some excitement with news and some screenshots showing some features making their way into future releases. Those of us that have played Quake 3 Fortress will get some fuzzies with a new set of scripts from AusFortress. ButterB also gave us a heads up on a new site just for you mappers. Unofficial Map Pack or otherwise known as UMP, is a site dedicated to helping server admins and map authors by packaging CTF maps into a neat little package. Oh yeah, the dudes at Terror Quake 3 have updated their site with some words and pics to boot. And finally some new walls have been posted over at Quake the Wall.
Not everyone plays beta mod's. In fact most people are tired of seeing mod's that remains in beta for longer then the actual game is around. But sometimes the wait is worth it. The videos just released from Urban Terror show off some good new features coming up from the Silicon Ice Development team. The pics of the AK47 and the grenade movie are pretty tough. Check them out.
Stump the Chump
Last Week's Question was:
"What were the original ballons made of?"
The Answer Is:
The Winners Were:
OEJack (aka [PING]Odyssey)
Don't tell me these are to tough for you? Ok, I'll try to go easy.
This Week's Question is:
A man dressed all in black is walking down a road. Suddenly a black car without any lights on comes round the corner and screeches to a halt. How did the driver know there was a man in the road?
E-mail me the correct answer and the winners names will be posted in next week's PQ in Review.
You too can submit a "Stump the Chump" question, just e-mail me!
IceStorm's Thought o' the Week
Latest and greatest. That's what we're all waiting for it looks like. I mean, lets look at all the mod's out. Most are still beta, but we still play the heck out of them. They're good. They have updates and patches, but still basically the same game, right? So why don't we use that same enthusiasm with the actual game itself? Ok, so heres what I want to do. Find a mod, not one of the super popular one's, and challenge you to a game. Something that makes people look at everything out there. Not just the mod's that have players. Let's open our eye's shall we. Email me and let me know ya big chickens!
