PQ in Review
IceStorm is away, so the one from the land down under is here to give you all the highs and lows on what's be happening this week for all you fellow PlanetQuake fraggers. - by ZNMS

PQ In Review: Victory!

News

Starting off things on a high note this week with the 678 to 614 vote win over PlanetDeusEx at Acid Joints. Thanks to everyone that voted and your help is required once again as PlanetHalf-Life is our next oppenent. As usual, Jube told us our fragging future in the latest issue of QuakeScopes. Abomonog and Musashi both breathed more life into Quake II with Kryptonite and Quake2maX as the LotW and Mod of the Week. We found out that production of a new version of TribalCTF has started, a test of Pwrweapons using the Torque Game Engine was released from the NoESCape team and ATI are going to give away $100,000 in cash at QuakeCon 2002. I can taste the money now.

Reality got in the picture this week, as the team from Navy Seals: Covert Operations gave us some insight of the next beta release, Race from the True Combat did some Q&A and there was talk of both beta 2.6 and 3.0 from the Urban Terror team and TwentySeven updated his plan over at Silicon-Ice.

If you are one of those lazy mappers who forgets to add the .arena file when mapping, be sure to thank Mr.LyCon as he released Q3 ArenaWriter, an .arena file writer utility and at the start of the week, a small fast paced Q3 tourney map called Neotech (Neo Nemesis). To finish off the news highlights, Challenge-US interviewed the undefeated and winner of the Genocide 5 QW TDM Tourney and QuakeWorld clan, American Gangsters.

Coming Soon

All I'm going to say is that all you CTF extremist out there are going to be happy as I will be review quite a number of CTF maps in the following weeks for LotW. So stay tuned.

Stump the Chump

Last Week's Question was:

Jube needs a new yellow Alienware computer system. What would she have to do in order to get a donation from you?

The Answer Is:

I have no idea, as I don't have access to IceStorm's email.

The Winners Were:

  • All the people that entered. I'm sure you all wrote nice responses. I hope. . .

    This Week's Question is:

PlanetQuake or PlanetHalf-Life? Who is going to win it at Acid Joints?

    ZNMS:

E-mail ZNMS the correct answer and the winner or winners will be posted in next week's PQ in Review.

Got a question? Think you can "Stump the Chump" with the ultimate question? Well, just e-mail ZNMS!

    From the brain of ZNMS

Been in the PlanetQuake Forums alot lately and PHHucker got me thinking. Anyway, I made a topic entitled, The best players vs. The nicest people and quite a number of people have stated their views. Some people have stated it depends on the situation while some prefer to verse nice people and I'm with them on that one. As I would rather verse someone that I know and who doesn't have an attitude problem when it comes to fragging. It's nice to play with/against people that congratulate on a good shot or a hard fought victory. Besides, would you like to be called certain things by some rude individual because of your score, ping or skill level?
