PQ In Review: Meet Me on the Playground at Recess.

News

The Con cometh, the Con cometh. Here ye, here ye. And if you don't know what's going on with it, then your up poops creek without a paddle. I mean check out what happening at QuakeCon 2002. Thats a lot of information. This past week Planetquake has given you the greatest. The likes of QuakeScopes, the Mod of the Week for Quake 2, the Level of the Week, and now this PQ in Review. See, you do have it all! Ahh, but what could you have missed? Well something like RetroQuake is a good example with their update that you shouldn't miss. For some model madness you can go over to Polycount with their eye candy. A new level release by Quint called War of Angels was released, and BadMeat was pushed into beta status. Continuing on with the Quake 2 goodness, BBQBot was released with a newer version for your lone fragging pleasure. Some goodies for Q3A is the Generations mod was released this week. Giving us old school kids a chance to partake of the sweets. The Map Database has continued to increase it's count of levels. Oh yeah, BoboTheSeal will be having a shop at Qcon this year! And over at The Speed Demo's Archive with another excellent update. Go go speed racer!

Coming Soon

This week saw the release of version v.99b of Generations Arena to the public. This Quake 3 mod puts a retro feel into Q3. Bringing in the gameplay and nostalgia that we all miss. With new maps and an all time fun factor, Generations Arena will have most of us old school'ers playing for hours. So jump in and see what it's really like.

This Week's Question is:

IceStorm:

E-mail IceStorm the correct answer and your name will be posted in next week's PQ in Review. If you're smart enough!

You too can submit a "Stump the Chump" question, just e-mail me!

IceStorm's Tip o' the Week

OK, first off I have a very bad headache. And of course everyone wants to tell me how to get rid of it. I prefer the "drink beer/pass the hell out" method. Either way, I'll still be ready for QuakeCon. And if you're going to be there, make sure you stop by and say hi to your PlanetQuake QuakeCon buddies like Pappy-R and the rest of us low lifes. We'll be swinging from the tree's and throwing all kinds of good fun your way. Hey, they don't call it 'Quake'Con for nothing! Ok, and I'll say this now. I'm terrible at this game. But I know how to play dirty. hahahahaha
