Wow, there hasn't been a PQ in Review from me in two weeks now. For those who didn't know, I was in Vancouver on holiday (thanks Matt & Jenn!), so I wasn't able to perform my usual duties. Thus, you had the horrible replacement of Hellchick for PQ in Review and the sadly lacklustre Mailbag. I'm sorry, it won't happen again. I'm as embarassed as you are, trust me. She just doesn't have what it takes to cut it in my realm, doesn't have the flair, the finesse. But that ends now! Wh00t!
So here we go with a bunch of stuff that I missed while I was out on the coast having fun (hi Katie!), so I'm actually in the dark on a couple of these, but I'll try to catch up. We kicked it all off with Rudeboy's editorial "What Have We Become?", talking all about the obsession the community has with moving forward, and maturity levels found in Quake players. Next we had the always lovable PQ Poll, where you can answer questions on grenade launchers, fog, and frags. In addition, you get to read the humorous commentary of the PQ/GSI crew on last week's questions! Fearlessly leading, Hellchick interviewed Painberry and Zephro, the wild and crazy guys behind Matrix Q2! Mynx faithfully spewed out another Dear Mynx, offering advice on ass pimples, kissing, and pyjamas; in addition, there's a new Name That Game Geek, and the answer to last week's. I still think Mynx should have used those modeling pics of last week's geek. While I was in Vancouver, Hellchick did an absolutely horrible version of what appeared to be the PQ Mailbag. It was so bad, it made me want to cry. Luckily, this week, everything will be back to normal, whatever that is. Polycount recently turned two, so Hellchick busted out with a special interview with rogue13! Read as he reveals his deepest secrets. Lee'Mon had to scramble, but he managed to throw together a makeshift Gauntlet, while I was out having fun. The promised Gauntlet, Ported Mods vs. New Mods, will appear next week. Finally, the sister publication to the Mailbag, the TechMailbag rode again, with Love2Play answering those questions that didn't have to do with sex or drunken German whores.
Once again, I bring you this week's exciting site launches! TEC brings back the techs from Q2 into Q3A, and adds a few more. Annihilation is a mod where in WWIII, the Nazis and Allies come back. Q3IDE is a swank integrated development environment for developing mods. Anargy gives you this way cool HUD and has all sorts of new teamplay features for Q3A. Finally, PlanetQuake has actually brought on id Software itself as a hosted site!
The big thing that's coming soon this week is that our fearless, illustrious leader has managed to weasel her way past the doors of id Software! That's right, Hellchick is going down to id for a couple days, to check the place out, chat with your heroes, and steal us a few alpha versions! I'm sure her sticky fingers can handle that. The Gauntlet That Wasn't will make its appearance, it being delayed because of my oh-so-wonderful trip. News and hosting pimp Pappy R busts out with another "From The Hardcore Side", because he's hardcore! All that and perhaps more in addition to your regular features!
Question of the Damned
Well, since that harlot Hellchick went and got herself a celebrity guest last week in the form of id's Robert Duffy, I got myself one this week! Along with the usual suspects, Something Awful's Jeff K answers the question: "What's one thing about Quake that really annoys you?"
It's the lack of a proper advertising campaign. I mean, c'mon -- where's the billboards? The ad slogans plastered all over The Bad Place, or the Pepsi banners on Stroggos! I mean, if anything, this world needs more advertising!
The BFG in multi-player. It's a monster smasher only. I hate seeing new DM and CTF levels come out with it intact. I don't think there is a level alive that can support it in gameplay.
When I can't play, of course. ;^) My ISP's been down for 18 hours, and I've been dying to get some Q3F in. As for things in the game that piss me of, spyke must be reading my mind... catch my editorial tomorrow for what irks me most about the Quake community.
The fact that both Quake 2 and Quake 3 Arena cost me over 70 dollars Canadian each when I bought them. That's insane. I must sell crack to keep up my gaming habit. Spare some change for a wheelmouse?
Celebrity Guest Jeff K:
I DONT PALAY QUAEK anymore, i just play Quake2. QUAKE3 WONT RUN ON MY COMPUTAR becuase my brothar installed new printar drivers on it and it wont work now
HOW DO YUO UNINSTALL PRINTER DRIVERS i have an epsone. WFT?!?!?!?!
Just another note, Jeff K wants everyone to visit his site because he has "all teh informatian about computars and GAMES and appz and warez and I can programe i

Spyke's Profound Thought
You knew I had to work it in somehow. That's right, I'm a gigantic wrestling fan, and today is the granddaddy of them all, WrestleMania. Oh yes, I'm seeing it; there was never any doubt to that. But what are your thoughts on a merging of wrestling and Quake? I remember a while ago a WWF mod that was being tossed around, but it never seemed to get anywhere. Perhaps after Wirehead Studios finishes Milieu, they'll let me at the code they've devised to change character movement and I can make a wrestling game! Any thoughts on WrestleMania? E-Mail!
