PQ in Review
Spyke recaps last week and all the things you may have missed! - by Spyke

PQ In Review: I Let The Dogs Out

I admit it; it was me. I just couldn't take the constant questioning anymore. It may not have been me, but I'll own up to it just so that people stop asking. What's that? Quake? Oh yeah, here's PQ in Review!

News

There's nothing like things ending in "of the Week"! So here you have them; the Levels of the Week, Model of the Week, Sawata, and the Mod of the Week, Madness! This week's Rants & Raves was all about the BFG; some people love it, some people hate it, and we commenced arguing about it! The PQ Poll is damn near ubiquitous; when was the last time it wasn't around, asking questions and giving you results? You should consider investing in it! Dear Mynx this week tackles the problems of "average" winky size, tight fits, and calling people f4g0t5. Lee'Mon and Demonwench so totally tackled the feedback from this week's Rants & Raves, along with a bunch of other feedback in the latest PQ Mailbag! Our Big Fuzzy Focus this week is on a freakin' cool mod that just happened to be our Mod of the Week a few weeks back, Western Q3! Finally, Love2Play busted out the oh-so-technical answers to all those questions that stump you in the latest TechMailbag!

Coming Soon

Coming at you this week we've got a brand new Top Ten list, a new editorial, and a mailbag based on Pappy's baby, From the Hardcore Side! Add that to all the regular stuff you've come to know and love around the Big Fuzzy, and you've got a reason to grab your sleeping back and hot chocolate and plant yourself at the front of the line!

Question of the Damned

During my usual duties of sitting around at night waiting for news, this question came to me in a lucid daydream: "What kind of mod would you like to see that hasn't been made yet?"

Hellchick:

I'd like to see someone do something very RPG-ish. "Forsooth! Thou has 0wned me with thine rocket launcher! HAVE AT THEE!" It'd be great, trust me.

Pappy R:

Killer rodents and sharp, pointy sticks. Kinda like HeadHunters where the more ya get per stick, the more points it's worth.

Lee'Mon:

QPong! I sincerely hope Team Reaction brings QPong back. For those who don't know, QPong combines the thrill of soccer and ping-pong, with a half-ton metal ball. Shoot it to push it into the other team's goal, but don't let it mow you over!

Beyond that, how about some genre-bending stuff? We've got a couple of RTS's underway, a car racing game, and more. How about an RPG? Tournament fighter? Space shooter? Mech combat?

Demonwench:

I say someone should make a "Pokemon Stalker" mod. Some people choose to be a Pokemon of their choice and everyone else is whoever they want to be. The object of the mod would be to KILL all the Pokemon or for the Pokemon to survive as long as possible. Hey, anything that allows me to kill Pokemon's got my whole-hearted vote!!!!!

Ash:

I want to see something completely original. And so if I mentioned something completely original now, it wouldn't be original when someone did it. So surprise me folks!

Spyke:

I was going to make a "pw33n Pikachu" mod, but I didn't know how. I have a design document sitting around somewhere..

Remember, if you want to submit a Question of the Damned, just e-mail me!

Spyke's Profound Thought

So I have a problem.. earlier this week I downloaded the demo of Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2; I loved it so much, I went out and bought the game. Now I can't stop playing it! It's just way too much fun, it should be illegal. [Takes 20-minute Tony Hawk break] Okay, back to the topic at hand. My commendations to the developers behind it, as you've done an excellent job. Now where's the antidote, dammit? I'm skipping school to play this thing!
