PQ in Review
Spyke recaps last week and all the things you may have missed! - by Spyke

PQ In Review: Merry Quakemas

Well it's not Quakemas yet, but hey, this is the last PQ in Review before Quakemas, and I can say whatever the hell I want, so I will. Look for a special PQ's Year In Review if I have my way, coming before the end of this year. I refuse to say millenium, or century, or whathaveyou. Anyways, on to one of the last PQ in Review's of the year!

News

The big hit this week on PQ was yet again an editorial. It always is. LeeMon busted out with his poop-disturbing thoughts on the CD-Keys in Q3A. Hats off to LeeMon for being the person that can get the most e-mail sent to me. LadyICE found a particularily.. well.. Horny Model of the Week. Wow, these Q3A models are swanker than I would have thought humanly possible. There was no real Mod of the Week, as Dante waxed nostalgic, talking about wonderful teamplay mods. Hopefully we'll be seeing some mods for Quake 3 Arena very soon, including Rocket Arena! Woo hoo! As always, we had some fan-bloody-tastic Levels of the Week for Quake 1 and 2. Hey, guess what? We should be seeing Quake 3 levels soon! Do you see a recurring theme here? I sure do! Guess what? We're running a contest! See, our swank news pimp Pappy-R wants a new skin, and he figures this is a great way to get it for free. Make Pappy the most pimped out skin, and win GameSpy swag! You know you want to! This week, Mynx talked about penises. Yeah, that's all she talked about. Including a very interesting embarrassment spotlight from our fearless leader, Hellchick! Of course, I never fail, and this week I brought you the best mailbag since my last mailbag, last week! Make sure to check it out, there's a failed pic in there that makes me feel all warm and fuzzy. For all those who aren't as technically adept as I, Love2Play brings you the TechTips, designed at getting your game up and running! You'd better thank her, or else. Oh yes, the last piece of news; I'm on Tier 6 of Q3A, and I beat Klesk 10 to 0. So there.

Coming Soon

Not too much is coming soon, other than Hellchick's massive Q3A Guide. Oh yes, the redesign is closer than humanly possible.

Question of the Damned

Well I'm running late this week, so we have a real nice QotD thought up by me on the fly: "What do you want for Christmas?"

Hellchick:

I want an autographed picture of John Carmack, of course. :)

Pappy-R:

Peace on Earth, Food for the Hungry, Bandwidth for the HPB's, and OpFor!

Spyke:

A Russian mail-order bride. Either that or Doom 2000.

Spyke's Profound Thought

Well, this is it, the last PQ in Review before what I have dubbed Quakemas. I'd like to thank everyone here at PQ and at GSI for letting me do what I do, with little to no supervision. Just kidding. This is the 18th straight PQ in Review. When I started this, I had no idea I'd be doing it for so long, but I'm lovin' it. Geez, it sounds like I'm leaving, doesn't it? Well, I'm not. You won't be seeing me leaving for a long time. Anyways, have a great Quakemas. I know I will! I'll see all you people Quakemas Eve for the mailbag, and for the last PQ in Review of the year next week! Peace out, peeps. E-mail is good for Quakemas. Spork!

- Spyke
