Hey hey everybody.. PQ in Review is back, for our last edition of the year! I could do a "Year in Review" but that would be way too huge and I'd probably leave some important stuff out. Anyways, this being one of the last weeks of the year, we had some majorly interesting stuff going on at the Big Fuzzy. Checkz0r it out!
Of course, the biggest news this week in the world of Quake (well at least our world of Quake) was the PlanetQuake redesign! This redesign allows us to bring you the very best in organized content for Quake 1, 2, and 3 (Arena). A lot of people had complained that it was damned hard to find anything on the Big Fuzzy anymore, so our crack team of designers went to work, providing you with essentially 3 different PlanetQuakes, one for Quake 1, one for Quake 2, and one for Quake 3 Arena! Thus, you'll be able to find whatever you want at the drop of a hat. Whoops, there goes my hat! Oh yeah, we're still working out a few little bugs here and there, so if something doesn't work, make sure to let us know at email@example.com, so we can fix them to give you the best possible online experience! The second biggest news in the world of Quake this week was Programming God John Carmack releasing the full source for the Quake engine, which you can get at FilePlanet, right here in fact! Read John's .plan to get the scoop. Because of the redesign, a few features got pushed back and moved around a little, so I'll fill you in on what went down, okay? Good. We had a brand new Dear Mynx, talking about penii, homosexuality and online romance. As part of the new PQ, we've got an awesome contest going where you can get nekkid to possibly win a swank PQ jacket! As part of something that began on the old PQ, we finished up the Dress Up Pappy-R contest, where you got to skin a nekkid Pappy for online play! LadyICE whipped up a truly awesome Christmas Eve interview with the monkeys that produce our Mod of the Week and Levels of the Week! Great to see these hardworking guys getting some recognition! We ended the week with a pair of mailbags, my Absolutely Wonderful PQ Mailbag, and Love2Play's wonderful-but-never better-than-mine-because-I'm-self-centered TechMailbag, letting you computer illiterate people (I'm kidding! Don't flame me!) know how to get the most out of your gaming system.
Coming soon in the following week, we've got another helping of the fun and games you've come to know and love here at the Big Fuzzy, including more Mynx, Mailbag, TechTips, Mods of the Week, Levels of the Week, and Models of the week than you can shake a stick at! In fact, how many can you shake a stick at? Mmm.. rhetorical questions.
Question of the Damned
This week we take a departure from the beloved Question of the Damned, because, frankly, I can't get a hold of everybody that answers it right now. Do you enjoy the Question of the Damned, but feel that our questions have been boring, unintelligent, and unimaginative of late? If you feel this way, call 555-54.. um.. no, wait. E-mail me at firstname.lastname@example.org and submit your very own question! You could win absolutely nothing! Hooray!
Spyke's Profound Thought
This is getting less profound as of late. Anyways, I don't really have time for a Profound Thought as this article is already late as hell. That's what happens when you try to write it on Christmas. How was your Christmas / Hannukah / Kwannza / Non-Religious Holiday? Mine was pretty cool.. got a lot of neat stuff and got to spend time with a lot of very cool people. Anyways, I suppose I'll see you all on Friday for your New Year's Eve Mailbag! Happy Boxing Quake! Spork!
