Spyke recaps last week and all the things you may have missed! - by Spyke

PQ In Review: Happy New Year

News

Not a whole lot of news this week, as we, like everyone else, are recovering from Christmas and gearing up for New Year's. We featured The Beatdown Before Christmas, a nice holiday poem from John "Warrior" Keefer of the mothership, GameSpy.com. Our Model of the Week was Magneto, the arch-nemesis of the X-Men, and, complete with electrical field, he looks damn swank. Our Mod of the Week, True Combat, is so real it's scary. I'm not a fan of realism mods by any means, but TC has gritty, realistic environments, and voice commands with a German accent! What would the week be without Mynx? Luckily, we're spared asking that question, as this week's Dear Mynx arrived, full of dirty, dirty feedback from readers. Finally, we end with the PQ Poll, asking questions regarding clothing, gametypes, and poll questions you've submitted lately. Of course, there's always the past week's results, full of hilarity!

Coming Soon

Now I know some of you have been disappointed at our sleepiness during the holidays, but it's the nature of the business, people. Anyways, we've got some new stuff coming that I really can't spoil, because it's so cool. We've also got a new contest coming to kick off 2001; we've still got that signed copy of Team Arena to give away!

Question of the Damned

I swear this question is obligatory. "Got any New Year's Resolutions?"

Pappy R:

To somehow play Hellchick and Kornelia in a LAN situation. Also to make PlanetQuake shine like the star it really is. I have some very kool new stuff I've been dying to get into and the contests are just going to get downright wierd baby! 2001 is gonna be swagerrific!
Hellchick:
I resolve to stop sabotaging Fargo's computer just for the fun of it. And I've resolved to finally play Deus Ex.
Lee'Mon:
I resolve to get one of my team's projects actually out the door.
Ash:
This new years I'm just resolved to stay on top of things. =)
Spyke:
I resolve to catch up on all the cool games I've been missing out on. I also resolve to keep working out, and become a leaner, meaner ass kicking machine!

Remember, if you want to submit a Question of the Damned, just e-mail me!

Spyke's Profound Thought

Wow, it's the end of another year already. We had a great year here at PlanetQuake, with many new and exciting things. Of course, we're going to keep kicking ass well into 2009. From all of us here at the Big Fuzzy, we hope you had a great year, and that next year will be that great at least. Enjoy your New Year's celebrations, and play safe. See you next year!

- Spyke
