Team Jumping
Are fair teams too much to ask?
  — by Pappy-R and the RnR Dancers

I completely agree. I think it's such poor sportsmanship to switch to the winning team. And what it tells me is that you are a loser. Someone has to lose, both sides can't win. So what is the point? And it's so pathetic to see someone switch 5 minutes before the match ends. Especially if it sets the balance to something like 15 to 8 players.

There isn't enough teaching going on out there. If more players took on the role of mentor, there would be more good players to begin with! But instead, it's a "me, myself and I" attitude with WIN behind it. Well, who cares if you won because you did something that chickenshit? Try teaching the other how to play.

Small boring story: I played on a Q3F server once and there was a guy on the other team complaining that no one knew how to play. Everyone was silent and I asked him "And what are you doing about that? Are you helping them know what to do?" Well suddenly everyone had something to say. They all said "ya, you aren't helping us!" There you have it. Someone who bitches that everyone else sucks. Well in my opinion he sucked the most. Reason being he thought he knew more than the others and instead of sharing that knowledge and skill, kept it to himself and whined about their lack of skill. 100% llama.

We may have to legally change her name to "Love2Rant" after that one. Not only does she take a clear stance on the specific issue, but opens the filter to include more online lameness! Atta Goil! Now I guess it's myn turn here, and I think you all know what I'm going to say about this topic.

It's me! I do it all the time. I will unbalance teams by joining the winning team no matter what. If my line up of losers can't carry their weight and thrust me into the victory circle, I'll do it myself and pop over to the winning team where I should have been in the first place. Victory is mine..no matter what!

How did that sound? Fairly accurate for what must be going through the heads of the team switching little bottom feeders out there? There's nothing like a good, close team game of any Quake, and doing anything so low as to switch teams for victory's sake is beyond lame. Ya wanna win that bad, just save your internet connection some useless effort and play with yourself against some dumbed down bots.

What a waste of bandwidth. I'm not going to go into how I join games except to say that since Team Dm is the closet thing to gaming perfection in my taste, I join a game to get the best possible game I can get. Overtime rules!

Now it's your turn to speak up on this week's issue by giving some feedback. C'mon, we can take it.

If you have a whole new issue you want us to rip into, just drop us a line at Rants n'Raves.
