Normal topicWhat is acceptable to post here?

I keep getting this question in one form or another and I want to address it in a blanket way. To understand what you can post here you first have to understand that this is not a "quake site". This is a Quake Community site. Sure, a whole lot of quake is going on here, and that's great but, that is not really the point of this site. The point of this site is for all of my friends and associates in the quake community to have a place to share their projects, ideas, input and/or stay in touch.

Can you post your unity game here? Yes.
Can you post your Halflife mod here? Yes.
Can you post your awesome dinner here? Yes. (in small-talk forum only)
Can you write tutorials/starter-kits? Yes. (please do)
Can you explain how physics engines work in a 35 part series? Yes.
Can you promote your game that costs money with a link that leads to some other site where people can buy it? Yes. (in small-talk forum only)
Can you post your entire Second Life clothing line and promote it? Yes. (in small-talk forum only)
Can you start your own map jam? Yes.
Can you rant and rave about how much you hate everything about Quake? Yes. (in small-talk forum only)
Can you keep a log regarding all the steps you are taking to attempt to hack the fuck out of me? Yes. (in small-talk forum only & I'd love to see you do it. As long as you keep it open I won't ban you)

Can you post clearly pornographic material? NO! **
Can you start and/or continue fights? No.

Really, if it not one of those No's, it's a Yes, with the only other stipulation being: put your content in a sub-forum that matches the content.

** pornographic material as defined by this site is:
1) ANY form of media depicting real life naked persons in whole or part. If the person(s) has, does or ever will exist(ed) on this planet and they are naked, you cannot post it. (ie... you can't even post a sonogram).
2) ANY form of media depicting beings with human-like sexual organs performing or alluding to a sexual act
3) ANY form of media with a primary focus on sexual anatomy and/or sexual acts.
4) ANY form of media depicting naked humanoid forms, in whole or part, that does not have accompanying text explaining how it relates to a project, or educational advancement in a graphic arts sense.

In other words, your naked 3d model that is just standing there or in some non-sexual pose, with accompanying text describing it in an artistically educational or project focused manner, is acceptable. (and pretty much nothing else). Really this boils down to HAS and IS. HAS sexual anatomy (and is not a real person) is OK. IS ABOUT sexual anatomy or sexual acts is not OK.
