Normal topicNGQTV

The first stable version of NGQTV has been released. You can navigate to it from the NGQTV link in the top navigation bar of this site. It is highly recommended that you read the docs at least once. The docs can be found in the application within the right tabbed section under the "help" tab. If you have any issues, feature requests or just want to tell me how much you love|hate NGQTV, you can do that in this thread.

If you want to come back to NextGenQuake from the app, you can do so by clicking the NGQTV icon in the control bar. That isn't documented anywhere because, I added it in at the very last minute. If you need to get to this thread easily from the NGQTV app (to file a bug report or something) there is a link in the 3rd paragraph of the introduction section of the help file.

I hope you enjoy my application. There will be more features and channels in the near future.

How to file a bug report or other issue:

Press F12 with your browser active and select the console tab. If you see errors** take a screenshot and post it here. Other than that, describe your problem and include information such as what browser and version of that browser you are using. I'm going to be real honest here. If you are using Internet Explorer or some out-dated browser I'm not going to do anything about your problem. If you are on a tiny phone trying to use my app and experiencing problems, I am not going to do anything about it in that scenario either.

Ultimately NGQTV is designed to work best at full screen on at least a decent sized tablet using the latest version of Firefox or Google Chrome. There are plenty of other scenarios where it will work fine but, those are the ideal scenarios.

--

**if you see an error something like this "blah blah blah https://youtube.com does not match site origin http://nextgenquake.com blah blah blah" you can skip the screenshot of that error. It isn't your problem and there is nothing I can do about it even if it was. The console will throw that error about 10% of the time but, everything always still works. I believe that error is generated upon one of numerous attempts. You can ignore any warning about CSS rules being dropped as well. If the rule is intended for a browser other than the one you are using it is supposed to be dropped. It has zero effect on the stability of the application.

interesting.. if you want more to add, i have a walkthrough of E4M4 i once did a few years ago to show of gameplay with HD stuff and seven's Small Mod Compilation

personally i also found the 'quake mods vol1-4' videos rather boring and uninteresting

icaruslives and gggmanlives have a few vids on some quake-mods like arcane dimensions that are much better

@Talisa
Hell yeah. I am forever looking for more content. I will get on youTube later, add those videos to the appropriate playlists and generate a new guide. I'm working on some other features right now and one of them will allow you (anyone) to add videos to a community generated guide.

@Admer
Thanks!

I'm going to ask that y'all do me a simple favor. If you post videos that I should include, please just post the video or playlist ID (ie the part after v= or list=). The reason is, this thread could easily start filling up with videos and I feel like that takes away from NGQTV to some degree. Someone could come to this thread with every intention of checking out NGQTV and end up getting lost in this thread watching the videos that are posted here. Alternately, you could wrap the links in the code tag so my forum wont automatically turn them into videos. I don't mind going the extra inch to copy and paste these urls or turn IDs into urls.

Thanks

Of course, bro. I'll probably generate a new guide at some point tonight or tomorrow so, anything new you have will show up. dumptruck has at least one new video, too. I'll get you guys current.
