What the hell is duke nukem doing in quake?

Well to make a short story long, When duke returned from penthouse paradise (the place he spent his vacation after defeating the big bad alien) he decided, it was time for some more action, so he went looking. After a couple of days looking and 667 packs of gum, he heard of quake.
