Do any of you have twitch streams that you like to watch (does not have to be quake related)? I want to make NextGenQuake TV but, I only know of 2 Quake related Twitch streams and that isn't enough to accomplish this. I need as many channels as I can get but, I don't want to just dump a bunch of random channels on a page. I'd rather get a collection of recommended channels.

If you have any suggestions I would love to know them. Feel free to post links below. Please post the links in text editor mode. If you post it in visual editor mode it is going to embed the channel. I'd rather we don't have a thread with a bunch of channels embedded but instead, let me compile all of that into one page.

Thank you. I tried a "tube" plugin that is supposed to curate videos. It doesn't work. Actually, I spent a lot of time getting API keys and setting it all up and this crap is such crap that it doesn't display anything at all for the curated videos and does nothing but throw errors when aggregating youTube videos. To say that this made me very angry is an understatement. However, I don't need a plug-in to do this. My HTML and JS skills are more than adequate to spin my own.

Unfortunately, it is going to take me longer to get that together but, we WILL have NextGenQuake TV. It's probably better this way. I can have full control over everything this way and make it really nice. I want it to work much like real TV. There'll be a guide with all the channels, hopefully description regarding what is on that channel and clicking a channel will fill up some area of the page with the selected video content. Of course I will implement a fullscreen feature, as well.

Your suggestions will be included. I intend to pull from youTube and Vimeo as well.

Same here Monty, I really enjoy watching the Quake Grave at my own leisure, I'm usually working on one monitor while I have videos playing on the other monitor sitting next to the first. I like to actually experience the levels with arrrceee and trying to work and watch hinders both so I tend to wait till it's late at night (3am-4am for me) before I shutdown shop and tune in to an hour+ long Quake Grave video.

Watching a speedrun is completely different as you're basically watching for the talent of the streamer and their time splits etc so you can easily miss 5-10-40 minutes of a video but still know what the objective is and what to expect along the way, speedrunners do not stray from the path.
