PQ: Does the player model actually sit on the motorcycle separately?

Kalifa: Its positioned on the motorcycle and leans with the bike. The view angles are locked, so you cant turn your head up or down more than 40 degrees. The bike will work with every model thats ever been made for q3.

I have to take couple deep breathes here. This is mighty impressive stuff.

PQ: Is it like turrets where all you can do while connected to the bike is drive the bike? No extra things like shooting?

Kalifa: You can't shoot yourself, but...

Cynic: Here comes the even better news. :-)

Kalifa: The next thing before we can call the code finished is a side wagon! Another player can travel with you and sit in the side wagon with a machinegun!

PQ:...No way!

Cynic: LOL, he likes it.

PQ: GIMME!

Kalifa: It works almost like a turret where you steer the gun yourself. I've tested the bike on many systems, and it didn't slow down the FPS count by 1. Which means it will have no weight for the server.

PQ: So let's talk about progress in terms of the first public beta. What kind of schedule are we looking at if any? (I'm trying not to be too obvious that I want to see this bike in the worst way)

Cynic: No release dates that are not kept, but speaking in general terms, I'd say somewhere around one month.

PQ: What makes your team play so vital to the way the mod will be enjoyed?

Kalifa: We're actually a class based mod, but instead of having 9 similar classes we have 4 that are really different and they're not like more armor and stuff. They're pretty much the same it's just the weapons and weapons affect speed. Then we have levels for the player (rank).

Cynic: Well, probably the most unique feature in Annihilation is the commander system, which lays a lot of emphasis on the necessary team play in the mod. If more than 3 people per team are on a server, each side votes on a commander every 3 rounds, who is then able to award players who've done good deeds with promotion.

PQ:How important is the medic? Is that the only way to heal up?

Cynic: We basically have two ideas for that. A player can stop his own bleeding by bandaging, and the medic can add 25 health to a player using a morphine injection, or a player will bleed to death, unless he calls for a medic to heal his wounds, where a morphine injection would only stop the bleeding.
