We've had a flood of e-mails this week about the Quake II v3.19 patch.
The most common complaints have been of increased lag, VWep problems,
and the game locking up or crashing without warning.
But the most bizarre reports we've been getting go something like this -

I've just upgraded to the 3.19 patch, and have been experiencing some pretty serious bugs.
When I play LMCTF TE, not only is it noticeably more lagged, but I've had chunks of buildings
follow me and other players around.
Yes, Chunks of buildings. Doors, things like that randomly chasing people. It's kind of entertaining
to tell the truth, but I don't think it's an intentional effect. I have no idea what causes this, and I'm
curious if it's a common problem or not (god I hope not!), since I've only seen the building problem
on 2 servers thus far. Is this just an incompatibility with LMCTF or what?
I was beginning to think this guy had been smoking something illegal,
until other people started reporting the same thing...

Subject : more patch bugs
Just got out of keys game where the whole dam map was falling apart due to the 3.19 patch.
All the brushes where flying around. Others said they have seen other mods messed up.

Ive been looking for some major web page to bring this up... guess ill have to poke you...
Well my Favorite mod is Lokis Minion for q2...Now with 3.19..its very flakey... After playing
many games and Asking others..Im not alone.. moving floors, clipping problems, invisible
weapons sometimes... POP up walls.. and LOCK uPs!!! ACK!
Moving floors and pop up walls? Scary stuff.
I'm not sure if this is the same problem, but I got some funky L-Fire
CTF screenshots from "Sentry" who runs the mod on his server...

Subject : Quake II v3.19 Problems
I wanted to try and get some information to the Quake II Community. I don't
know what, if anything, should be done.
I run a very popular CTF server and I upgraded it to v3.19 within minutes of
its release. While I was running v3.19, I noticed to major problems. One
was a video problem, which I have a zip file of screenshots for examples. I
run the L-Fire mod which permits me to use single player maps with CTF
entities for CTF games.
The only single player map that my regulars and myself really enjoy is waste1.bsp.
When playing on this map using Q2 v3.19 the video will experience major problems.
At first the video will slow down and then your visible area will start to dissappear
into a beige blob. Obviously making it impossible to see anything let alone play.
This problem was experienced by numerous different people.

When I returned my server to v3.17, this video problem went away.
My question is, hasn't anyone else experienced these problems? Or is it that no one cares?
Thank you for your time and I hope that we can some how get the Quake II community
to be aware of these issues.

While I'm talking about funky video problems, has anyone else had a problem with
DirectX6? Since I installed it I've been having major problems with missing and
corrupted textures and skins.
I'm running v3.17, and from the looks of things this is not the same problem as people
have been having with Quake II v3.19, but again I'd be interested to hear if any of you
have seen anything like this...
