(said in Ralph Wiggum voice) What's a mission pack?
150
10.3%

Mynx: I really really loved Scourge of Armagon. Even now the thought makes me want to lick the box.
Tetsuo: Scourge and Dissolution... HIPEND Baby! Bring the hammer!
Lee'Mon: You're all going to kick my ass, but the only mission pack I've played is Q3:Team Arena. So there.
L33t'M0n: I'll go first. [kicks] I thought Mission Packs weren't much more than big mods you pay for. If what I hear about Team Arena is right, however, it might just be an exception.
Spyke: [Mutters something sounding like "no"]
Hellchick: I actually never played and of the mission packs except for Q3:TA, but two weeks ago I bought the Quad Damage pack so I can write walkthroughs on them for PQ. Let the mission packing begin!
Pappy-R: Every single one for Quake 1 and Quake 2. I'm in therapy...but it's not helping.
Fargo: I played through all of the Quake I mission packs. I was a machine. The Quake I bad guys just seemed cooler than the Strogg... Shambla, bay-bee!

Do your friends/family/significant other/dog ever call you by your gaming nick? (submitted by CitizenC)

Answer Votes

Good God no, that's beyond lame.
684
47.2%
Sometimes. You know, when she's feeling "frisky". My significant other, I mean. Not the dog.
413
28.5%
No, but I had my name legally changed to get them to do it. It was tough getting "[2l33T4U]R4iLin-P1MpM4stAh" all on one line, though.
66
4.5%
Yes. In fact, I no longer remember what my real name is.
233

I don't even have a gaming nickname.

Mynx: My dad calls me Mynx. I swear it. Even sicker, we call my dad by HIS nick. CJ actually calls him "Grandpa Kilroy". A weird and perverse gaming family, we are indeed. As a side note, I regularly have people tell me "it is *so* lame to name yourself after a Quake bot". Heh. Yeah. Hi.
Tetsuo: Some call me 'Tet', some just scream 'Tetsuo!!!!!!!!!' only when drunk.
Lee'Mon: My close real-life friends call me Lee'Mon, and my close online friends call me Lee. How backwards is that?
L33t'M0n: My handle IS my name. You should see little kids try to read it...
Spyke: Sometimes my friends, only because it's been my real nickname for upwards of 5 years. But other than that, only annoying little kids at LAN parties.
Hellchick: Everyone calls me Hellchick except for my family. I'm beginning to forget what my real name is.
Pappy-R: My fear inspiring "game name" is actually a nickname in real life. Very few people use my real name. The therapist does though.
Fargo: Little did I know when I idly picked the name "Fargo" one day after seeing the movie, I'd be called that more often than I am called "Dave." Did you know my name is Dave? Heh, exactly, neither do my compatriots at GameSpy....

none of them - I only play mods.
220
15.3%

Mynx: I'm a free for all kind of girl. Oh, and boobies.
Tetsuo: CTF. heh-heh - Mynx said 'boobies'. I'm gonna score...
Lee'Mon: After Generations Arena, the standard gameplay modes just don't have enough depth.
L33t'M0n: After Blast Arena, the other gameplay modes just don't have enough firepower.
Spyke: FFA baby! You people know I don't like teamplay. :)
Hellchick: I play 1 on 1 mostly, although give me a FFA any ol' time.
Pappy-R: Team DM, and I second the boobies motion.
Fargo: My new mod, "boobies," will be all things to all people.

Mynx: Fargo's mom.
Tetsuo: Roll in Warm Bacon with Naked College Babes.
Lee'Mon: Mmm... Devastation. BRING ON THE GIANT FRICKING ROBOTS!
L33t'M0n: Where is Chaos Arena? With the obvious exception of Excessive Overkill (and possibly Madness), there hasn't been a decent whack-ass weapons mod yet...
Spyke: CATCH THE CHICKEN. I will send lots of money to whomever creates Q3CTC.
Hellchick: Catch the Inflatable Sheep.
Pappy-R: The Quake All You Can Eat Buffet. Shambler is just good eatin'.
Fargo: Devastation!! Hang on, wait, Devastation WAS based off of my mom...

Which gameplay mode interests you the most in the upcoming Quake III: Team Arena?

316
22.2%

Mynx: Nothing much interests me, but I'm gunna say I'm leading toward 'load.
Tetsuo: Roll in Warm Bacon with Naked College Babes.
Lee'Mon: Obelisk. Call it Overload if you want, but I STILL prefer the old name.
L33t'M0n: Friendly fire. I'm not one for grand-scale team goals, and I'm even less for the concept of not shooting things just 'cause they're blue. I'll make'm red if that's the case...
Spyke: Dunno really, I kinda forget which is which. I'm looking forward to the new levels.
Hellchick: I LOVE Harvester, with Overload running a close second. Have I rubbed it in yet that I got to spend two days playing all those a couple of weeks ago...?
Pappy-R: I have secret desires for Team Arena and Hellchick says if you tell your wish, it won't come true.
Fargo: Overload will ownz me.

Mynx: A more appropriate question would have been, "when do you ever play Quake with clothes ON?"
Tetsuo: Yes. And on the roof too. And in a van. Bacon.
Lee'Mon: [The concept of Mynx and/or Hellchick nekkid has sent Lee'Mon into convulsions. Please check back later for his answer.]
L33t'M0n: An even MORE appropriate question would have been, "when do you wear clothes?!?"
Spyke: You people are sick. Just sick.
Hellchick: Wow. Almost half of all people polled think that playing Quake naked is a crime. Damn. What about answering poll questions naked?
Pappy-R: /me reaches for a pair of shorts
Fargo: Hellchick is HTMLing this poll naked as we speak. What's the URL for the webcam again?

Who are these people anyway?

Hellchick is the PQ Site Director, or at least has convinced her friends that she is.
Pappy-R is PQ's News Jockey and Part-time Table Dancer.
Spyke does the PQ in Review, the PQ Mailbag, and your girlfriend.
Lee'Mon writes articles and editorials for PQ, which means he's really into finding things to complain about.
shaithis is a former PQ Site Director who now spends his days running GameSpy.com and sharpening the spikes on the top of his cubicle. You think we're kidding.
Fragmaster also used to run PQ, and now manages ClassicGaming.com and the console section of the GameSpy network. He also enjoys the occasional potted tuna.
Mynx is our resident advice expert, knowledgeable about all sorts of topics that the rest of us are just too scared to touch.
Tetsuo performs miracles that mere mortals cannot understand as part of the tech team at GameSpy. He also really likes bacon. Even more than Hellchick.
Fargo has been around since the beginning of PQ. He's been known to camp everything, including the poll.
