Domestic tranquility and all the love that goes with it. Or in our case a new sort of retro love. I'm talking about the new PlanetQuake Time Machine. Take a moment to reflect on history as we walk down the PlanetQuake trail of life. Or you can also get some nice reading done from our very own angel in disguise, Jube, with her version of QuakeScopes and Desktop readings. Here at home it's hot, but I can cool down with the latest release of version 1.5 of the Freeze Tag mod. New info, and a lot of it, from the Urban Terror site on the next beta. Will they ever get an actual release? Speaking of a release, over at Syndicate Arena they've published their "pre-alpha". Are there ever any real releases anymore? haha Yes, there are! In fact our Mod of the Week was on the Quake 3 mod Painkeep Arena. And another outting in progress is working over at Eternal Arena with version 5.9. Mercy, I'll actually break down and cry if I ever see a real version of these mods. ;) Ok, back to something that is real. A new mod for Quake II, called Disorder, has been released. If you're old school, this one's for you! And lastly is some good news over at the Speed Demos Archive. They've added a vast number of new demos. So speed up, read on, rock out. Frag me later.
Not necessarily soon, but out this week was the update to Freeze Tag. If you've never played this and you're into team play you've gotta get this one. At first, it's a hoot. You'll have your ass rolling. But then you start to get into the game play. And you realize that this mod isn't for newbies that think it's only about deathmatch with teams. No sir. Any real player will show you the ropes and explain that you NEED your team mates. So you must frag, and unfreeze. Repeat as necessary. Come on, we all played this game as a kid in real life. Try it online. Freeze Tag is fun for the whole family. If you can, challenge your Dad to a game. You'll be able to school him easy!

IceStorm's Tip o' the Week
Fast week behind us. Yet another week ahead of us. This week I shall go into the morals of playing as a team. Many of you play team oriented games, but use tactics of a DM game. People, that's the easiest way to lose and to get fragged. Always follow someone. Work together as a team. Work in pairs or groups of three. You'll almost always win every battle. But if you must go alone, remember to move in short bursts. From one location to another. Remember your objective of this round. In CTF, it's get the flag. Also remember that team games are NOT DEATHMATCH. You're not there to just frag. And always play nice together.
