PQ In Review: Is it over already?

News

QuakeCon. It cometh, and it goeth. It kickith buttocks too. Lets just say it was some kick ass gaming. Besides the 'Con, there was more. And Jube held the fort down for us. GG Jube! Over at True Combat they've put up some pics to show off some of their animation. The Western Quake team gives us some new screens of one of their new maps. Something really cool on the mod side of the news. The SuperHero's Arena mod was released. Seven classes and more special powers then you can shake a stick at. Some remake map love over at Deja Review always gets my goodies going. This time it was for Generations Arena called "The Bad Place". Check out all of the PlanetQuake QuakeCon 2002 Day 1 pics and PlanetQuake QuakeCon 2002 Day 2 pics and some other info from us to you. See, you are special! You really should check out all of the winners brackets and all of the other good info over at QuakeCon.

Coming Soon

Coming out soon from my buddy, Quint, is the second map of a trilogy. From Qbeast now comes the second behemoth. Qbee screenshots show off some excellent mapping skills by this level author. Each level created brings you into a new world of sorts and promises to have you fragging soonest. Check out his next creation coming soon.

Stump the Chump

Last Week's Question was:

What Quake III Arena modification combines three teams and has a game mode that resembles that of something you'd find in Las Vegas?

The Answer Is:

"Tribal CTF, this mod has a mode called 'Roulette'."

The Winners Were:

  • Michael Mount
  • Jens Rosner
  • ConfusedUs
  • (They were black right? hehe)
That wasn't too hard. This weeks question brought to you at QuakeCon.

This Week's Question is:
What is Pappy-R's favorite airline?

IceStorm:

E-mail IceStorm the correct answer and your name will be posted in next week's PQ in Review. If you're smart enough!

You too can submit a "Stump the Chump" question, just e-mail me!

IceStorm's Tip o' the Week

Ok, I'm beat. I'm sure many other's are as well. QuakeCon was some serious fun. People think that it's just one thing. But it's not. QuakeCon is more then just gaming. Its meeting people, partying, laughing, the whole gambit. I was able to meet Pappy-R, F4nt0m25, a madman, and Dire Hamster (this guys scares me), all in person. Needless to say, it was short of spectacular. We all laughed, I made an ass out of myself. Pappy fired me 5 times in one day. It was a good time all around. So now I say this. I can't wait til next time. And I'd like to thank "The Goddess" aka Honi for helping me out. You're a sweet sweet lady. I thank you and all of the F.O.G. crew. Until then ladies and gentlemen, good night.
