If you're looking for the low down on Quake Terminus or the two new QuakeWorld movies, then hurry up and grab them along with the TROH Armor System test. If you're kept up on all the QuakeScopes that Jube's been dishing out, then I'm pretty sure she's the goddess of your Quake dreams. Just like she is to me, only I get to call her pet names. Two new map reviews have popped up over at Underworldfan's Quake & Cube Reviews site this week. Gotta love that old school Quake SP love. And in this weeks PlanetQuake Level of the Week you got to check out the winner of the TikiDomain mapping challenge. With the release of True Combat recently the team didn't sit back. Nope, they just released a small patch to fix some of the nasties that popped up after the release. Make sure you're up to date on this one. Oh, and if you don't have this yet you are missing some kick ass game play. And a new mod called RUN is out over at AI Cafe. This mod is a 1 vs. 1 DM mod with a twist. And just be warned about Pappy-R and his llama hair issue....don't ask.
A single player Quake mod will soon be on the prowl. Team Fortress Stroggos is currently in the last leg of the last segment towards the end of the home stretch of completion. The features of this mod look really cool and the game mode's look like the mod's going to be on steroids. Watch for a movie coming soon, in the meantime you can check out a batch of screenshots on the Team Fortress Stroggos site.
Stump the Chump
Last Week's Question was:
A guy and a dog were going down the street. The man rode but yet walked. What was the dog's name?
The Answer Is:
"The dog's name was 'YET'."
The Winners Were:
I kind of liked that one. And no Sporx0r, the dogs name wasn't "bad dog".
- THE JEW (RaVeN) (Thanks for the chamomile suggestion. Tell your Aunts I said hi.)
This Weeks Question Is:
A child playing on the beach had 6-1/6 sand piles in one place and 3-1/3 in another. If he put them together, how many sand piles would he have?
E-mail IceStorm the correct answer and your name will be posted in next week's PQ in Review. If you're smart enough!
You too can submit a "Stump the Chump" question, just e-mail me!
IceStorm's Tip o' the Week
Sniff sniff. Can you smell it yet? Can you smell the anticipation of QuakeCon? I know I can. But I'm really worried for some of the folks that have never been to downtown Dallas before. I live here in Dallas and know what it's like. But I'm concerned for the people that have never been to a big city like Big D. First off, let me say this. Be careful ok. It's a big city and things happen. This isn't your grandma's back yard. At night time the Stroggo's arise from the darkness and come to play. So if you're going to go out at night, don't be stupid. Be smart, be safe, and party like it's never going to happen again. Play your asses off, go downtown and walk around. But be smart. Dallas will be extremely hot (just ask Pappy about our infamous heat) so don't bother with bringin the parka. Dress cool and be cool. I'll give you an example, in the evening around 9pm it will still most likely be in the 90's (35's C). So yeah, we stay warm around this part of earth. And also, it's not cheap either. So bring enough cash to have fun. Just don't blow it all. You can give it to me and I'll hold on to it for you.....promise! hehe
