About Me

RAM: n. "ram": Short for "Random Access Memory." A common type of computer memory that functions as a machine's primary workspace. It can be accessed randomly. That is, any byte of memory can be accessed without touching the bytes before or after it. The more RAM your computer has, the more efficiently it will operate.

Resolution: n. : The degree of clarity an image displays. The term is most often used to describe the sharpness of bit-mapped images on monitors, but of course it also applies to images on printed pages, as expressed by the number of dots-per-inch (dpi). For monitors, screen resolution signifies the number of dots (pixels) on the screen. For example, a 640x480 pixel screen can display 640 dots on each of 480 lines, or about 300,000 pixels. Screens of different sizes have different dpi measurements. Printers, monitors, scanners, and other I/O (input/output) devices are often classified as high resolution, medium resolution, or low resolution, but the corresponding degrees of clarity improve along with the technology. A good explanation of resolution can be found here, in the tutorials section.

Rocket Jump: v. : A wonderful trick used in games (mostly Quake) to get to higher places. Switch to the Rocket Launcher (you can also do a grenade jump basically in the same way, only you have to time it better), then face down, jump, and while your at the peak of the jump, fire a rocket at your feet. The explosion will send you higher (this only works in certain games). Of course, you lose health and armor, but you get where you need to! Keep practicing to get that timing JUST right. You can find great tutorials on rocket jumping at MrR's "Trickjumper".
